Justin Timberlake reveals Lyme disease battle

Singer Justin Timberlake has stunned fans with a powerful revelation—he’s been secretly battling Lyme disease throughout his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, even as he performed for packed stadiums across the world.
“If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,” Timberlake shared in a deeply emotional Instagram post.
The singer says he endured nerve pain, exhaustion, and severe illness for over 100 shows, choosing to suffer in silence to avoid worrying fans. Though his tour ended on July 30, 2025, his message is just now sparking conversation worldwide.
Instead of taking a break, Timberlake pushed forward—fueled by passion and determination.
“I was shocked at the diagnosis… but the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going.”
Behind the scenes, he credits his wife Jessica Biel and their two kids for helping him through the darkest days. He also reminded his followers that while fame may seem perfect, health challenges are often invisible:
“I don’t say this so you feel bad for me, but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes.”
Lyme disease is caused by bacteria transmitted through tick bites. Early signs include fatigue, fever, and joint pain—but if untreated, it can damage the heart, brain, and nervous system.
Timberlake now joins a long list of stars affected by the disease, including Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, and Shania Twain—all of whom have spoken openly about the toll it takes physically and emotionally.
