NASPA executives demand clarity on delayed dues and elections

Regional executives of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) across the country have jointly petitioned the Director-General of the National Service Authority, raising red flags over delayed disbursement of funds and the unexplained postponement of the NASPA National Elections.

In a letter dated August 1, 2025, the concerned regional NASPA leaders expressed frustration over the persistent silence from the top, calling it a threat to service integrity and personnel morale.

“We are compelled by duty and responsibility to raise pressing concerns that threaten the integrity of our service and the morale of the personnel we represent,” the petition reads. “Despite the critical roles we play in the smooth operation and welfare of personnel across the country, we have been met with prolonged silence and uncertainty.”

The executives lamented the persistent delay in the disbursement of both NASPA dues and the NSA dues allocated to regional and district executives.

“Without these funds, we are unable to execute meaningful projects, plan welfare initiatives, or support activities at our various levels,” they said, calling for a clear explanation and timeline for when the disbursements will be made.

They also raised alarms over the “unexpected and unexplained postponement” of the NASPA National Elections.

“We respectfully demand a formal update on the current status of the elections, a clarity on the reasons for the delay and finally an immediate release of the revised election calendar, if any exists,” they urged.

The petition was signed by all ten regional presidents of NASPA, who say they have exhausted internal channels and now seek public accountability.

“This letter serves as a wake-up call to restore accountability and open dialogue. We believe in the vision and potential of NASPA, but that belief must be reciprocated by leadership through prompt action, transparency, and respect for the democratic structures we all operate under.”
