Zanetor Rawlings speaks out after fatal stabbing at Kinbu SHS

Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has condemned the fatal stabbing of a student at Kinbu Senior High School on July 31, describing the act as senseless and deeply tragic.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic incident that occurred yesterday… which resulted in the fatal and senseless stabbing and loss of a young student,” she said in a statement issued on August 1.
The MP pledged collaboration with the Ghana Police Service and other authorities to ensure swift investigations and justice. “Violence has no place in our schools! Our children must feel safe in their learning environments,” she stressed.
Calling the incident a wake-up call, she urged stakeholders in education and security to reassess safety protocols and take action to prevent future tragedies.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved family, the students, faculty, and the entire Kinbu SHS community during this period of grief,” she added.
Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings reaffirmed her commitment to enhancing safety and mental health support in schools across her constituency.
