The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has a fighting chance in the 2028 elections; however, it will all rest on the candidate the party presents for the election. This is according to former member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.
According to him, the party has a choice and a pool of candidates to choose from; however, he stands tall in the contest and will be the best to beat the NDC in the 2028 election.
“The party has a fighting chance, but it depends on the candidate they choose. If they choose Kennedy Agyapong, they have a fighting chance; I will beat NDC hands down,” he stated while speaking in an interview on Accra-based Pan African Television.
On his plans for Ghana, he indicated that his focus will be on tourism to help in the development of Ghana.
“Can you imagine the tourism industry? What are we going to do? Right in the middle of the sea in Dubai, they’ve created an island. Ghana is the centre of the world, and we don’t have a hotel with the name Centre of the World to attract tourists. We are going to build a hotel in the sea. It is possible. I’ve seen it work elsewhere, and therefore it is going to work,” he said.
