He died on July 26th, 2025 after a short illness. He was 60 years.

The late Ghana’s most decorated and the legendary Daddy Lumba was a family oriented man who was married twice in his life that spanned six decades.
The “Ankwanoma” composer was a very private person, especially concerning his family.
It is public knowledge that Lumba’s first wife, Maame Akosua Serwaa, was even involved in producing his debut album with Nana Acheampong.
Later, he married Maame Broni, who was with him until his passing.
