NPP hits the grounds running in Akwatia with massive campaign

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has hit the ground running with its campaign in Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

The campaign led by the party’s candidate, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, has party leadership backing him.

General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua, is in the constituency where they are meeting constituents to provide them with reasons why they need to maintain the New Patriotic Party.

In one of the meetings, the General Secretary reminded the people of the Akwatia constituency to remember the good Asumadu has done for the people, even without political power, and ensure that he’s given the mandate to do even more.

“When we selected Asumadu, we were told that he’s without blemish. Everyone attested to his qualities and his genuine support for people and the development of Akwatia. We hope that you remember this and vote massively for him to lead the constituency as we go back to the polls,” he said.

The New Patriotic Party, for the sake of unity, endorsed Solomon Kwame Asumadu, who is the constituency treasurer of the political party, to lead the constituency following the death of their member of parliament.

The by-election is slated for September 2; however, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will have its primaries to elect its parliamentary candidate on August 4, 2025.
