Anala told his mother of a ‘disturbing’ dream before the fatal flight

Ghana on Friday, August 15, 2025, bid farewell to the eight victims of the tragic August 6 helicopter crash at a state funeral held at the Black Star Square.

Government officials, military leaders, families, and mourners gathered to pay their last respects. Among the tributes, the family of Wing Commander Peter Anala shared deeply emotional details about his final days.

“Just months before his passing, Peter traveled to the United Kingdom to support his wife as they welcomed their first child, whose Christian name was set for October,” the tribute read.

They added: “Before his return, he confided in his mother about a troubling dream, and together we sought God’s protection through prayers.

“That morning, we sent Peter our usual devotion and a message: ‘How are you, my love? Stay safe and blessed in the Lord Jesus Christ.’ When there was no reply, fear gripped us. Later, the devastating truth reached us. Our worst fears had come to pass.”

The family further noted: “Though our hearts are broken, we surrender to God’s will, trusting that He knows best.

“We find solace in his cherished memories, his dreams, and the love he poured into our lives. We pray for God’s comfort upon his life, his newborn child, and all affected by this tragedy.”

The tribute described Peter as “our hero, our light,” adding that he “fought a good fight.”
