If you want the nation to fail because it’s not you leading, you are corrupt – Johnnie Hughes to NPP

Ace broadcaster and journalist Johnnie Hughes has criticised what he described as a growing trend of misinformation and bad-faith arguments about President John Dramani Mahama’s foreign travels.
Hughes addressed social media debates and comments from some politicians who claimed the President was using a private jet at a time he was actually seen attending church.
“At the time when you said the President was supposed to be on a private jet in the sky, the President was in church and it was shown on TV.
Does the President have a double? He doesn’t have a double,” Hughes said on his morning programme on 3FM.
He condemned what he called attempts to create a false impression of corruption, stressing that such behaviour itself reflects a corrupt mindset.
According to Hughes, critics appear to take issue regardless of the President’s choice of travel.
“If the President travels in his brother’s jet, we have a problem with it. If he doesn’t travel in a private jet and uses a commercial flight, we still have a problem. It is a corrupt mind,” he argued.
