African football has been hit again with Razak Omotoyossi who died at the age of 38.
Razak Beninese was a famous professional footballer renowned as one of his country’s greatest strikers.
He was a prolific goalscorer for the Benin national team, he famously formed a potent attacking partnership with Stéphane Sessègnon.
His club career peaked during a stellar 2007-2008 season with Swiss side Grasshopper Club Zürich, where his goal-scoring exploits attracted significant attention.
However, he failed to sustain that high level at subsequent clubs.
What happened to Razak Omotoyossi?
The late Razak Omotoyossi qaabatttling depression and was sick too. He died aged 39. He died on August 19th, 2025.
