Police in the Western Region have confirmed the arrest of two individuals linked to a fatal stabbing incident at Asankrangwa in the Amenfi West Municipality.
According to the Western Central Police Command, the incident, which has left residents in shock, occurred after a violent altercation led to the death of a man.
The Police say the suspects were picked up following swift investigations, while one other person believed to be involved is currently on the run.
Speaking on the development, the police said the suspects are in custody assisting with investigations. “Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, and one other is currently at large. We are actively pursuing the fugitive and will ensure justice is served,” an officer at the Command stated.
The police assured the community that they are working to restore calm. “We want to reassure the public that the security services are on top of the situation. Anyone found culpable will face the full rigours of the law,” they added.
Meanwhile, the police are urging anyone with credible information on the whereabouts of the fugitive suspect to come forward.
“We are appealing to the public to assist us with information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect who is on the run,” the Command emphasized.
