We have suffered a great loss – Justin Kodua on Nana Konadu Yiadom III

The one-week observance of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, has drawn deep emotions and heartfelt tributes at the Manhyia Palace.
Among those paying their respects was Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, who described the Queen’s passing as a painful blow to the entire kingdom.
“We have suffered a great loss. Men are in great pain. If death were a conquerable foe, we’d battle it fiercely and take back our Queen, but as the saying goes, death is an inevitable reality,” he expressed in sorrow.
Reflecting on her legacy, Kodua Frimpong emphasised the Queen Mother’s enduring impact on her people.
“The Queen’s motherly nature was evident in her nurturing spirit and care for her people. Her Majesty was a source of comfort, guidance, and support, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Her maternal instincts extended beyond her immediate family to encompass the entire community, earning her the love and respect of all,” he told journalists.
The gathering at Manhyia Palace continues to be marked by cultural rites and mourning, as dignitaries, traditional leaders, and members of the community come together to honor the late Queen Mother’s memory.
