Sit back and select a young, sellable Muslim to contest for flagbearership race

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has urged Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to bury his ambition of leading the New Patriotic Party at all costs.
According to him, he was given the opportunity but offered nothing, and therefore, he should sit back and allow the younger ones the opportunity to lead.
Martin Kpebu was speaking on Key Points on Accra-based TV3 when he made this suggestion.
He is of the view that Dr Bawumia should rather select a sellable young muslim candidate and present him for the contest rather than going on his own.
“They should be looking at Patrick Boamah, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah. Bawumia should choose a younger Muslim and try to sell that to the party. Bawumia is not sellable. He delivered next to nothing,” he said.
To him, the New Patriotic Party should generally consider a younger candidate
“Bawumia will be 70 years old at the time, and we will not try that again,” he said.
Meanwhile, per the latest polls by Global InfoAnalytics, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia leads by 52% and is being trailed by Kennedy Agyapong by 17%.
