NPP’s emotional decision-making led us to opposition—Dr. Bryan Acheampong

Flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Bryan Acheampong, is of the view that it is high time the party takes decisions devoid of emotions.
He argues that over the years, the party has taken its decisions, which are backed by emotions, and that has led them to opposition.
Referencing the decision not to contest the Tamale Central By-Election, he indicated that if he were at the helm of affairs, he would have ensured that the political party contest the election.
Bryan Acheampong was speaking to delegates in the party when he made this known.
“The NDC always shows us the way. No emotion. We hurriedly decided not to contest in the Tamale Central by-elections; the NDC said they will contest for the Akwatia by-election. We easily get carried away by emotions when we have to do politics,” he said.
He continued, “For me, I would have contested Tamale. Death brought about the by-elections, but we are a political party, so if we are to contest the Tamale seat and test how the 2028 elections will be, we should have done that”.
