The family of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known popularly as Daddy Lumba, have formally informed the government of his passing.
This was done on Monday, August 25, 2025, when his family visited the Jubilee House to meet with the Chief of Staff.
The family used the opportunity to also inform the government of the One-Week Observation, which will be held on Saturday, 30th August 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Complex.
The visit to the Jubilee House afforded the family the opportunity of discussing funeral arrangements with the government and also seeking state support for the funeral rites of the late music legend.
Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Cantonment after a short illness.
His sudden death sent shocking waves globally because nothing was heard of his ill health.
Tributes have since been pouring in from several quarters to celebrate the impactful life he lived as a musician.
