Lil Nas X says he’ll be ‘alright’ after arrest

Lil Nas X is reassuring fans that he’ll be “alright” following his Aug. 21 arrest in Los Angeles, which led him to plead not guilty to four felony charges.
The 26-year-old “Old Town Road” star shared a video on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Aug. 26, describing the past few days as “terrifying” but promising, “Your girl is gonna be okay… S—’s gonna be all right.”
Hill (born Montero Hill) was arrested after police responded to reports of him allegedly walking naked along Ventura Blvd. According to a criminal complaint, he allegedly used force and violence against three officers and attempted to deter a fourth from performing their duty.
In court on Aug. 25, Hill pleaded not guilty to three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.
His bail was set at $75,000, and a judge ordered him to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings per week.
Reports suggested Hill had been hospitalized for a drug overdose, but his father, Robert Stafford, denied any drug use, saying his son “absolutely” did not take illegal substances.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed he was treated in hospital after his arrest.
Hill’s attorney, Christy O’Connor, called the incident “an absolute aberration” in his life. Outside the courthouse, Stafford added that his son is “very remorseful” and asked the public to keep him in their thoughts.
If convicted, Hill could face up to five years in prison. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.
