The Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, has disclosed that the school placement for candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination will officially begin on September 17.
It is estimated that the process will take at least 3 weeks to complete, to allow students to prepare for school.
Before the placement, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis explained that a window of opportunity would be opened to the candidates to review their portals and correct mistakes from September 1 to September 8, 2025.
He believes that this will help address mistakes that drag the placement process and cause needless delays.
Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis used the opportunity to assure parents that the process will be smooth and will be merit-based.
“The placement results will be published online for easy access, and the ministry is committed to ensuring a smooth and credible exercise,” Professor Ernest Davis said.
