Asiedu Nketia leads NDC delegation to Ernest Kumi’s one-week observation

Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Asiedu Nketia, has led a delegation to the one-week observation of the late Ernest Kumi.

MyNewsGh.com reporter who is in Wenchi reports that before the entrance of Asiedu Nketia and his entourage, there was a little bit of tension that ensued as some youth who were supporters of the late Ernest Kumi did not want the NDC members at the event.

It took the intervention of some chiefs and elders in Wenchi to calm nerves before the NDC team was allowed entry into the premises where the event is taking place.

Chairman Asiedu Nketia, who led the team, exchanged pleasantries with dignitaries of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Ernest Kumi died six months after winning the Akwatia seat in his second attempt.

His death has necessitated a by-election in Akwatia, which has been scheduled for September 2, 2025.
