I still insist NDC will win Akwatia by-election

Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwa, has reaffirmed his confidence in a decisive victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming Akwatia by-election, scheduled for September 2, 2025.
Appearing on TV3’s Key Points on Saturday, August 30, Mr. Dankwa stood firmly by his projections, insisting that his latest poll offers a clear indication of the likely outcome.
“I am 99% sure that the NDC will win the by-election,” he declared during the interview.
His confidence is grounded in the findings of Global InfoAnalytics’ latest poll, released just hours earlier, which predicts a narrow but significant win for the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Lawyer Bernard Bediako. According to the poll, Bediako leads with 53% of voter support, ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, who trails with 47%.
The survey further highlights the key drivers of the NDC’s projected lead. According to the data, a majority of voters seeking increased development in Akwatia, along with significant support from senior high school and tertiary students, prefer Bediako by a notable margin.
The stakes are particularly high in this by-election, which became necessary following the death of sitting MP Ernest Kumi, just six months after his victory in the 2024 general elections.
