Tanko Computer accuses NPP of hypocrisy ahead of Akwatia voting

Ahead of the voting in Akwatia, Rashid Tanko Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged citizens to vote peacefully while accusing the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of hypocrisy and disorganisation.
Speaking to MyNewsGh, he stated, “He appointed a deputy IGP in charge of operations for the elections 2024, just less than five months. Now, if you appoint somebody a deputy IGP, what are you doing? Are you not preparing him for the ultimate?”
He added that the NPP’s appointments were questionable. “When you are appointing him to preside over the 2024 elections, so that one he didn’t know his competence.
“That’s the hypocrisy of MPP [sic]. And they will continue this hypocrisy, and that’s how they will continue to lose,” he said.
Computer also criticised the opposition for what he described as mismanagement and lack of transparency.
“Because that party is a disorganised party, and they won’t tell you the media the truth. They use their internal impulsions to misbehave. We are not going to allow that,” he said.
