“Ghana needs Asiedu in 2028″—Asiedu Nketia’s son hints of his father’s presidential ambition

Son of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Charles Akwasi Asiedu has hinted at his father’s quest to lead the NDC in the 2028 election.

A post shared via social media after the win in the Akwatia by-election provides a hint of his father.

To him, his father’s exploits in Akwatia won the NDC the seat; an indication that an Asiedu can engineer the NDC’s win in the 2028 election.

The post, which was a celebratory one, read ” Heeeerrrrrrr I’m unequivocally certain that GHANA needs ASIEDU in 2028 ✊🏻 Reporting from Akwatia #Yate omoti🙅🏻‍♂️ Congratulations my brother BERNARD BEDIAKO”.

There are reports that Asiedu Nketia is lacing his boots to contest for the flagbearership in the National Democratic Congress.

Several polls have placed him at an advantage to win the contest.

However, Asiedu Nketia, in an interview, indicated that it is too early to talk about political ambitions.

He indicates that the focus should be on the current government’s success, as anyone who will take over from Mahama will campaign on the back of the success of the current government.
