The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has denied reports suggesting he is undergoing trial in the United Kingdom.
Reports were suggesting that the Asnate Akim North member of Parliament is undergoing trial abroad, and that may lead him to lose his seat in parliament.
The reports emanated from Good Evening Ghana and have caused conversations on social media.
But a letter issued September 8, 2025, by lawyers for the member of Parliament debunked the reports.
They indicated that Ohene Kwame Frimpong is not on trial either in Ghana or any other jurisdiction.
“We wish to clarify that there are no pending legal proceedings, whether civil or criminal, against our client in any court of competent jurisdiction, either in Ghana or other jurisdictions,” the letter read in parts.
