My support for Dr. Bawumia is not borne out of blind loyalty- Dr Gideon Boako

Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr Gideon Boako, has responded to comments made by the Tano North constituency secretary,  Stephen Ntiamoah.

According to him, his support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is not borne out of blind loyalty.

Rather, it is based on his deep conviction that he is the most prepared, credible, experienced, and winnable candidate to lead the New Patriotic Party to victory in 2028.

To him, if the constituency secretary is confident in the chances of his preferred candidate, the appropriate path is to win the primaries and not to invent falsehoods about others.

He recalled that in the 2023 primary, Tano North in general gave Dr Mahamudu Bawumia 83% of their votes; an indication of their support for the candidacy of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“In Tano North, we demonstrated our trust in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership by delivering 83% of the votes to him in the 2023 flagbearer elections. We remain united and committed to repeating that resounding victory.”

Adding that “Personally, I remain focused on working tirelessly for Dr. Bawumia while fulfilling my parliamentary oversight responsibilities with dedication.”

He mentioned further that “we will continue to work with all our energy for Dr. Bawumia, and come 31st January 2026, the results will once again speak for themselves”.
