Otto Addo’s performance is not impressive—Kofi Adams

Sports Minister Kofi Adams, has disclosed that he is not impressed with the performance of the coach of the senior men’s national team, Otto Addo.
He says the coach himself is not impressed and always accepts the responsibility for the poor showing, but that cannot continue.
Kofi Adams was speaking in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM when he made this known.
“If I tell you I am impressed, then it means I do not know my job. I am not. There is a lot of room for improvement. Even when you meet the coach himself, he admits that he got things wrong and takes responsibility. But the question is, for how long will you continue to take blame for wrong decisions?” he asked.
There have been growing concerns about the Black Stars’ technical team considering their poor outing.
There have been calls for Otto Addo to be axed and replaced by competent hands, especially after the Black Stars failed to beat Chad.
Speaking on the Black Stars failure to qualify for the AFCON he said “Very soon, AFCON is going to start in Morocco. Are we going to be part of it? No, we will watch on TV.”
On Ghana’s World Cup qualification he mentioned that the country is not yet out of the woods.
“We have not even qualified for the World Cup yet. We still need a win and at least a draw to comfortably say that, as far as our group is concerned, nobody can overtake us”.
