Yes, it’s possible for Asiedu Nketia to Be president – Kpebu

Legal practitioner Martin Kpebu believes National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia has a viable path to the presidency, provided he secures victory in the party’s primaries.
Responding to a question from broadcaster Kojo Yankson on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show about whether Asiedu Nketia could ever become president, Kpebu emphasized that the NDC’s enduring electoral strength positions the chairman as a credible contender.
“Yes, it’s possible for him to become president because, you know, the NDC still has a lot of goodwill,” Kpebu explained. He pointed out that in the last elections, “the difference between the votes garnered by John Mahama and Mahmoud Bawumia is over 1.6 million votes,” stressing that it is nearly impossible to wipe away such a margin within a single electoral cycle.
According to Kpebu, if Asiedu Nketia wins the primaries, the entire party machinery—including former President John Dramani Mahama, would rally behind him, making a national victory feasible.
“What remains is to win the primaries. As for the national one, when they finish winning, he can scrape through,” he added.
Kpebu argued that the NDC’s goodwill, combined with the unity of its structures, could prove decisive in a contest that requires only 50 percent plus one vote to secure victory.
