Ablakwa provides free mattresses and chop boxes for 2,207 SHS students

Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced an initiative to ease the financial burden on parents of newly admitted Senior High School students in his constituency.

In a Facebook post sighted by MyNewsGh, the MP revealed that all 2,207 fresh SHS students will receive mattresses and chop boxes free of charge.

“All my beloved 2,207 fresh North Tongu SHS students don’t have to worry about buying mattresses and chop boxes — their MP has got them covered for FREE,” Ablakwa wrote.

He added that beyond the support for students, major infrastructural works are ongoing across the constituency’s senior high schools.

“The 5 Senior High Schools in North Tongu are also receiving major infrastructural expansion with new mega dining halls and dormitories,” he said.

The MP emphasized that the goal is to eliminate obstacles that prevent students from continuing their education.

“Every barrier shall be removed; no one must drop out. The North Tongu tradition continues. For God and Country,” Ablakwa declared.
