Focus on delivering tangible outcome-driven gains, not on who succeeds Mahama—Dr. Theo Acheampong slams NDC

A vice president of Imani Africa and policy analyst, Dr Theo Acheampong, has condemned the seeming scramble for power in the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He is worried that barely a year after John Dramani Mahama took over office, his party folks are scrambling over who takes over from him.
To him, it’s too early for the National Democratic Congress to be focused on who represents as flagbearer in the 2028 election.
Rather, he wants the party to focus on delivering on its promises to the people of Ghana as that will determine whether the people of Ghana will endorse them for another tenure or not.
Expressing his position in a Facebook post, Dr Theo Acheampong said ” REALITY CHECK: The Mahama 2.0 administration is not even a year old. The focus should be delivering tangible outcome-driven gains on the big manifesto promises like fixing galamsey, 24HE, Big Push, etc.—not succession talk. Any candidate that doesn’t get this hasn’t learnt from the 2016 and 2024 elections. Less politics, more performance. No delivery, no victory. #GHRandomMusings #Governance #Accountability #ManifestoToResults“.
