Franklin Cudjoe takes a sarcastic swipe at NPP demonstration

On Monday, September 23, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) staged a peaceful demonstration to protest what they described as “state-sponsored abuse of power.”
The protest, which was widely attended by party supporters, centered on allegations of harassment, intimidation, and the selective application of justice by the current government.
According to the NPP, such actions undermine the country’s democratic principles.
The party mobilised their members for a demonstration over what they perceived as harassment, intimidation and selective application of justice.
Eyewitness accounts confirm that the protest remained peaceful.
Demonstrators were reportedly well received by a Chief of Staff during the course of the event, a development that many described as surprising, given the charged political atmosphere.
Policy analyst Franklin Cudjoe, however, reacted with a touch of sarcasm to the opposition’s efforts. Commenting on the demonstration, he wrote:
“A demonstration was staged by the opposition NPP against what they describe as ‘state-sponsored abuse of power.’ It was peaceful. They were well received by a Chief of Staff.”
