Weaponization of state institutions will not stop us — Nana B

Henry Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has highlighted the success of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) demonstration organized by its National Youth Wing on September 23.
The protest was staged to denounce what the party describes as state-sponsored harassment and abuse of power under President John Dramani Mahama.
“Yesterday, the NPP, through its National Youth Wing, organized a massive demonstration against state-sponsored harassment and abuse of power under President Mahama,” Nana B stated in a social media post following the event.
He further expressed concern over what he perceives as a troubling trend in governance.
“This worrying situation under President Mahama projects a concerning trend toward suppressing dissenting views, unfair & imbalanced application of the law, selective justice and criminalization of free speech which is strangely and frighteningly reminiscent of the criminal libel laws abolished under former President Kufuor’s administration.”
Nana B emphasized the party’s determination to resist intimidation, noting, “We in the NPP remain undeterred and will not be intimidated by the weaponization of state institutions targeting opposition members.”
The demonstration, which attracted significant attention across social media, was part of ongoing efforts by the NPP youth to raise awareness about what they describe as selective justice and suppression of opposition voices in Ghana.
