Flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong, has urged the leadership of the NPP not to just dissociate themselves from some worrying comments made about the party’s presidential primaries by Wontumi and Abronye.
The New Patriotic Party has earlier, in a statement, condemned the comments by Chairman Wontumi and Abronye.
The statement assured the rank and file of the party that the elections wouldn’t be manipulated to favour one candidate.
But Kennedy Agyapong’s Spokesperson, in a statement, has demanded further action from the party’s leadership to serve as a deterrent to others in the political party.
They argue that the failure of the party’s leadership to punish the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party and the Bono Regional Chairman of the party will confirm the widespread perception of bias.
They have used the opportunity to assure supporters of Kennedy Agyapong to remain resolute.
