Regardless of the economic wins risks continue to persist

Finance Minister, Ato Forson, has assured the people of Ghana that even though there continue to remain risks, the government is committed to addressing them.

According to him, the government began the year with challenges, but with hard work and commitment, the government has been able to steady the tide and made significant progress.

He made this known when he met with the IMF Mission team, led by Dr. Ruben Atoyan, as they formally commenced the Fifth Review of Ghana’s IMF-Supported Programme.

Ato Forson explained that the indicators point in the right direction, and this mission provides the country with an important opportunity to receive valuable feedback on the work they have done so far in serving the people of Ghana.

His post read “Earlier today, I had the honour of receiving the IMF Mission team, led by Dr. Ruben Atoyan, as we formally commence the Fifth Review of Ghana’s IMF-Supported Programme.

We began the year with many challenges, but together we have been able to steady the tide and make significant progress.

While we acknowledge that risks remain, we are committed to doing all we can to address them.

Encouragingly, the indicators point in the right direction, and this mission provides us with an important opportunity to receive valuable feedback on the work we have done so far in serving the people of Ghana.

In his remarks, Dr. Atoyan noted that the team looks forward to the review in the coming days”.
