FIFA announces venue change for Ghana vrs CAR world cup qualifier

The World Football governing body, FIFA, has changed the venue for Ghana’s World Cup game against the Central African Republic.

Per the change, the game is scheduled for Stade d’Honneur de Meknes in Morocco on Tuesday, October 8, 2025, with kickoff at 17:00 hrs (16:00 GMT).

The decision to change the venue for the match is a result of the lack of an approved venue for the game.

Officials for the tie have also been announced: Patrice Milazare of Mauritius will referee the encounter, assisted by compatriot Louis Ralph Fabien Cauvelet and Seychelles’ Shaji Padayachy. Noris Aaron Godfrey Arissol, also from Seychelles, will serve as fourth official.

Senegal’s Fatou Gaye has been appointed referee assessor, with Jamal Kaouachi of Morocco as match commissioner and Nigeria’s Efughu Odochi Joan as security officer.
