He’s my person – Temi Otedola on why she said Yes to Mr Eazi

Actress and blogger Temiloluwa “Temi” Elizabeth Otedola, now officially Mrs. Temi Ajibade following her marriage to Nigerian singer Mr Eazi, has shared intimate details about their relationship and her decision to take on her husband’s surname.
In an interview with the BBC, Temi was asked what made her say yes to Mr Eazi and what she considered the best thing about him. With a smile, she admitted that it was hard to pick just one reason.
“There’s too many. How will I choose one? Wow, wow. I mean, first and foremost, he’s my best friend,” she said.
“You know, that’s my person. And I think when you meet your person, you know. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anybody else.
He’s the person that I’m excited and can’t wait to spend every day with and, you know, build our lives together and work through our ups and downs together and celebrate together and solve problems together.
He’s simply my person. So we’re just excited for what’s to come.”
Temi also addressed her decision to change her name publicly on social media to “Temi Ajibade.”
Asked whether she had considered not doing so, she explained that it came naturally to her.
“To be deeply honest with you, it’s not anything I had thought about before. It was obviously when I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name,” she noted.
“But it’s my personal choice. I respect everybody’s personal choice. It’s what I’m comfortable and happy doing.”
