We support Sam George’s statement – MultiChoice clarifies

MultiChoice Ghana has issued a clarification on its new DStv value offering following confusion caused by Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) published on its website.
In a statement dated October 1, 2025, the company said the published FAQs had created “an erroneous impression of a contradiction regarding the DStv value offering,” which officially took effect today.
“We fully support the joint media statement that was issued by the Honourable Minister, Hon Samuel Nartey George, and implementation of same has already commenced,” MultiChoice Ghana stated.
The company further stressed that the rollout will be monitored closely:
“As contained in the said joint media statement regarding the value offering, the Committee will reconvene in three (3) months to evaluate the impact of this initiative. This will be a periodic exercise,” the statement explained.
Addressing customer concerns, MultiChoice made it clear that there is no restriction on bouquet choice under the new plan.
“There is no restriction on a subscriber’s choice of a bouquet. This offer is available to both existing, returning and new customers from 1st October 2025,” the company assured.
MultiChoice Ghana ended by apologizing for any confusion caused by the initial communication. “We apologize for any inconvenience the FAQs may have caused,” the statement concluded.
