MP trolled on social media for donating an NDC-painted canoe to constituents

The Member of Parliament(MP) for the Navrongo Central Constituency Simon Aworigo, has come under criticism for commissioning and donating a manual wooden canoe to the people of the Naaga Traditional Area in his Constituency to enable them cross the White Volta.
During rainy seasons, the people of Naaga are always confronted with crossing the White Volta to access places like Navrongo.
It is to ease this difficulty that the MP has donated the canoe painted in National Democratic Congress colours to the people.
But some people have taken him on for the gesture.
“Wow! Just wow!
I’m honestly out of words.
At this rate, the next commissioning might as well be life jackets and a speedboat because clearly, a ‘canoe of many colors’ just isn’t enough anymore,” a commentator noted.
” Shame dey catch me saf,” another constituent noted.
Other comments trolling the MP followed.
Notwithstanding the trolls, the MP had noted the importance of the temporary intervention in ensuring that the people are able to cross over the White Volta while long-term plans are implemented.
The people of Naaga Traditional Area, through their chiefs and elders, had also expressed their gratitude to the MP for providing the canoe to relieve them of their troubles in the meantime.
