Teaching is a calling that deserves the highest recognition and support

Deputy Education Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Builsa South Constituency Dr Clement Apaak has commended teachers across the country for their hard work and commitment to their profession, stressing that the teaching profession is a calling worthy of the highest forms of recognition and support.
In a statement after the Ghana Teacher Prize ceremony held in Volta Region capital, Ho, yesterday, Dr Apaak noted that teachers do not just impart knowledge but nurture responsible citizens for the benefit of the country.
I wish to commend all teachers across the country for their hard work and commitment. Your role is not only to impart knowledge but also to nurture responsible citizens who will drive Ghana’s growth and development.
Teaching is more than a job, it is a calling that deserves the highest recognition and support. Let us continue to uplift and honour our teachers, for the strength of our education system and the progress of our nation rest on their shoulders, ” Dr Apaak wrote.
The theme for this year’s Ghana Teacher Prize was: “Elevating the Status of Teachers for Quality Education.” The annual ceremony is an occasion for awarding teachers who have distinguished themselves.
