Flagbearer aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will today, October 10, ballot for their positions on the ballot paper for the 2026 flagbearer elections.
The exercise is expected to take place at the headquarters of the political party, where aspirants and their representatives will meet the National Elections Committee.
It is expected that all the candidates who have met the requirements of the party will be involved in the process as stipulated by the party’s constitution.
Meanwhile, it is not clear if Kwabena Agyepong will be made to take part in the process.
It will be recalled that MyNewsGh.com reported earlier that Kwabena Agyepong was given a 48-hour ultimatum to pay Ghc 4.6 million to the party as development fees.
However, his camp insisted that the candidate was against the move by the party, making it a requisite for qualifying for the contest and has since not paid the money.
