Ken first, Bryan second, Bawumia third

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has concluded the balloting to determine the order of candidates on its ballot paper for the upcoming January 31, 2026, presidential primary.

The exercise, held at the party’s national headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, has finalized the positions for the five cleared aspirants.

Following the draw, Ken Ohene Agyapong will appear first on the ballot, followed by Dr. Bryan Acheampong in the second position. Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia secured the third spot, with Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum in fourth, and Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong rounding out the list in fifth position.

The balloting was overseen by the Presidential Elections Committee, chaired to ensure a transparent and fair process.

In a statement before the event, Secretary to the Committee, William Yamoah, congratulated the aspirants on successfully passing the vetting process and thanked them for upholding the party’s democratic principles.

“The Chairman of the Committee has directed me to extend appreciation to all aspirants for their participation in the balloting, which will now determine the order in which their names appear on the January 31st presidential primary ballot,” the statement read.

Aspirants were also encouraged to reach out for clarification or further information where necessary.
