Number one on the ballot is a sign Kennedy Agyapong should lead the NPP

Following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) balloting exercise, Ofosu Asamoah, a member of Kennedy Agyapong’s communications team, has expressed excitement over the outcome, describing it as both symbolic and strategic for the campaign.
According to him, the campaign team considers the number one spot a divine advantage that aligns perfectly with their message of renewal and leadership change.
“They had the opportunity to select or pick a number. There were 72 faces. But most importantly, the final ballots that we picked, pick number one,” he said in an interview shortly after the event.
Asamoah emphasized that the position on the ballot offers not just visibility but also a strong marketing advantage.
“In terms of the marketing, in terms of the visibility of the ballots, we feel they have given us another advantage.
“And from day one we have always maintained that our campaign is surviving.
“So, I mean, for each one, we believe there is even more to be satisfied,” he added with optimism.
Looking ahead, Asamoah outlined the next phase of the campaign, noting that the focus would be on engaging delegates across the country.
“We are going to sell the number. We are going to campaign. We are going to talk to the delegates. We believe that sovereignty resides in them. There were 200,000 delegates,” he stated.
He reiterated that Kennedy Agyapong’s message of renewal and revival remains at the heart of their movement, describing him as the fresh face the NPP needs going into the 2024 general elections.
“We are going to tell them the message, the current message of the party and the needs that I have always maintained and Ken has always maintained, that even in the spirit of revival, we need a new face.
“And that face, even from the ballot, clearly shows that Ken, number one, should lead the party. A new face, Kennedy Agyapong,” Asamoah concluded.
