Nurse faces disciplinary action over insults directed at Health Minister

A staff nurse at the Nkenkaasu District Hospital in the Ashanti Region, Ms. Bernice Aboagye, has been issued a query by hospital management after she was allegedly captured in videos circulating on social media using what officials described as “unprintable, inappropriate, and scandalous words” against the Minister of Health.
In a letter signed by Dr. Samuel Freeman Mensah, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, management expressed concern about the videos, noting that the content had drawn public criticism.
“This office has observed that you have been captured in videos circulating in social media using unprintable, inappropriate, and scandalous words on the Honourable Minister of Health,” the letter stated.
It further indicated that the hospital had received “several calls from well-meaning Ghanaians registering their misgivings and reservations about the content of the videos.”
Dr. Mensah added, “We also have information that these videos are discussed on various social media platforms with people making all manner of disparaging comments about the service.”
