News reaching MyNewsGh.com indicates that one of three persons has been found guilty of the murder of a businessman and owner of Jirapa Dubai, a resort in the Jirapa District of the Upper West Region.
The Wa High Court on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, found Eliasah Mahama Akpanyikye guilty for the offence, whereas Belinda Miller, the second accused, and Kweku Kakuubata have not been found guilty.
The owner of the Royal Cozy Hills Hotel, Mr Eric Johnson, was stabbed to death by unknown assailants at his home on February 11, 2024, and was found in a pool of blood the following morning, according to a police situational report.
The motive behind the dastardly act was not known, but seven (7,) including staff of the hotel, were arrested and during investigations 4 were freed except the 3 who went through full trial.
