Ghanaians Couldn’t Even Afford Two Square Meals Under NPP—NDC’s Ashiamah

Acting Executive Director of the Complementary Education Agency, Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah, has criticised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, claiming that the government’s poor economic management left many Ghanaians struggling to afford even two square meals a day.

Speaking in an interview, Mr. Ashiamah said the hardship experienced under the NPP’s leadership was unprecedented and pushed several families into poverty.

“During the NPP’s tenure, ordinary Ghanaians couldn’t even eat two square meals a day. That tells you how badly things were managed,” he said.

He added that the cost of living, inflation, and youth unemployment worsened during that period, eroding the income of workers and forcing many to depend on handouts to survive.

Mr. Ashiamah urged the current administration to focus on policies that improve household welfare, create sustainable jobs, and stabilise the economy to restore hope among citizens.
