I made Nigerians listen to Shatta Wale, yet I was disrespected — Big Jiggy laments

TikTok sensation Big Jiggy has opened up about why he unfollowed Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale immediately after Shatta Fest, citing what he described as “disrespect” from the artist’s management and a broken promise.

According to Jiggy, his loyalty to Shatta Wale dates back to 2019, when he began promoting his music across Nigeria.

“When you go to Nigeria, every single person listening to Shatta Wale today is because of Big Jiggy,” he said proudly. “They don’t know him, they don’t know his message, I made them listen.”

But despite his dedication, Jiggy says he was treated unfairly. “Shatta Wale and his management invited me to Ghana and made me feel small.

“I just feel like they don’t regard me because of all the support I’ve shown,” he complained.

Jiggy emphasized that he wasn’t seeking fame or validation.

“I don’t chase likes or comments. Everything I’ve done is from hard work and realness,” he said, insisting that his frustration was emotional, not competitive.

The Nigerian entertainer said his love for Shatta Wale’s music was deeply personal, “I looked at him as a godfather… I just feel his presence through his music”, but now he feels disillusioned. “I’m not even sorry to say this — Shatta Wale didn’t act like the person he sings about,” he concluded.
