The King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been informed of the passing of former first Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.
This was disclosed by her family head, Oheneba Akwesi Abayie, who addressed the press to confirm the news of her passing.
He indicated that apart from the Otumfuo, the President of Ghana has also been informed of the passing of Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.
“His Excellency the President was subsequently informed accordingly, and Otumfuo Osei Tutu Asantehene was also informed. The president has caused a statement to be made confirming Nana Konadu’s death,” he stated.
Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings fell ill on the morning of October 23, 2025, and was rushed to the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
However, she died while receiving medical care at the facility.
Addressing the press on the sad development, Oheneba Akwesi Abayie said it is a very sad time for the family.
He indicated that they are mourning and will crave some privacy for the family.
