Lands Minister, Hon Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has terminated the licenses of some 278 small-scale mining companies.
According to reports, these licenses were terminated over regulatory breaches and the expiration of licenses.
This is part of efforts by the government to sanitize the mining space and safeguard the environment.
