Giving Abronye the platform to attack Ken Agyapong proof of Bawumia’s endorsement of his actions—Afia Pokua

Radio personality Afia Pokua holds the view that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is behind attacks on Kennedy Agyapong by the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abronye.

According to her, the fact that the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP was able to launch an attack on Kennedy Agyapong on Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign platform is an indication that he (Bawumia) backs Abronye.

To her, it does not speak well of the former Vice President, and the earlier he calls Abronye to order, the better for his campaign and the party he is hoping to lead.

“I was questioning Bawumia on why they sit aloof and allow Abronye to attack Kennedy Agyapong but anytime that discussion comes up, they deny having knowledge of it. However, his recent attack on Kennedy Agyapong on Bawumia’s campaign platform is clearly an indication that Dr Bawumia is aware and is the one behind the needless attacks on Kennedy Agyapong,” She said.

“We have seen that you are behind Abronye so call him to order. I think that this was a very bad move. It was a bad move to allow Abronye. Bawumia is in a very difficult position because he cannot sack Abronye from his campaign, but they should guide him,” she said.

While speaking during Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign in the Bono region, Abronye attacked Kennedy Agyapong; a situation which was condemned by people who had attended the event.
