The most dangerous people are the educated corrupt ones – KSM

Veteran TV personality Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has taken aim at Ghana’s educated elite, accusing them of driving the country’s corruption crisis during and beyond the Akufo-Addo era.

According to him, the major corruption scandals currently before the courts do not involve uneducated people but well-schooled professionals, individuals who understand the systems and manipulate them for personal gain.

“It is not people from the village,” he said. “It is us with degrees. Those who have studied Aristotle, psychology, and accounts, it is us.”

KSM lamented that the very people trusted to manage the country’s finances and institutions have become the architects of its moral decay. “If education is producing thieves, why then should we continue to educate them?” he asked pointedly.

He further described educated corruption as the most dangerous threat to Ghana’s progress, saying; “There’s nothing more dangerous to society than the educated corrupt ones who are greedy bastards.”

The satirist’s comments come amid renewed scrutiny of financial scandals uncovered through recent forensic audits, including those involving the National Service Authority. His statement reflects growing public frustration that years of formal education and exposure have not translated into ethical leadership.

KSM concluded that Ghana’s education system must urgently integrate moral and civic training, warning that without character, learning only produces “more intelligent looters.”
