Hon.Joseph Kwame Kumah has Donated 30 Bags of Maize and Cash Amount to Support the People of Gulumpe

On Saturday, 25th October, 2025, the Constituency Chairman, Naa Kwaku Dassah on behalf of the humble servant and People’s MP, Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah, led a delegation of party executives to donate some bags of maize and cash amount to the residents of Gulumpe in a bit to support their feeding.

It would be recalled that, a misunderstanding between some youth groups escalated to violent clashes among the Gonjas and Kokombas in Gulumpe somewhere last Sunday which disrupted normal daily activities of residents with hundreds being displaced. The Interior Minister, Hon. Muntanka Mubarak through an Executive Instrument imposed a curfew from 4:00pm to 6:00am on Gulumpe and its surrounding areas commencing last Tuesday until further notice.

The Hon. MP together with youth leaders (both National and Constituency) of the two feuding factions visited the community on last Monday to obtain first hand information on the grounds and also appealed for ceasefire. The Hon. MP on that day donated a cash amount of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢5000.00) that is, GH¢2000.00 to the Gonja chief and his people, GH¢2000.00 to the Kokomba chief and his people and GH¢1000.00 to the security forces for their first night for water.

The Hon. MP and the team also visited the first injured person at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital and donated another cash amount of Gh¢2000.00 to support his hospital bills. Backed to Accra , the Hon. MP again through the Gonjaland Youth Association national Deputy Organizer, Mr. Bonbino donated some Gh¢2000.00 to support pay bills of injured victims on admission at the Buipe Hospital. Additionally, the Hon. MP presented a cash amount of Gh¢2000.00 i.e. Gh¢1000.00 for Ambulance fuel to transport one of the injured victims to Tamale Teaching Hospital and Gh¢1000.00 to support medical bills through the Gulumpe Youth Chief.
Yesterday’s donation by the Hon. MP was a top up to support their feeding while waiting for central government through the NADMO to come to their aid somewhere next week. Yesterday, 28 bags of maize, with 14 bags going to each faction were presented to them. A cash amount of GH¢2000.00 each was added to them.
On friday,24th October 2025,Two (2) bags of maize and a cash amount of GH¢1000.00 was donated to the Dawadawa Kokomba chief and his people to support their feeding. Leaders of the 2 factions expressed their profound appreciations to the Hon. MP for the kind gesture and promised to use the donations for the intended purposes.
Accompanying Chairman Naa Dassah were, the Bono East Regional National Apprenticeship Program (NAP) Coordinator, Mr. Kofi Baba who doubles as the Bono East Deputy Regional Youth Organizer, Constituency Treasurer, Mr. E. N. Nakoja, Deputy Secretary, Mr. Tapog Plasidious, Deputy Communications Officer, Mr. Pascal Dapilla and comrade Haruna Seidu.
