Akufo-Addo is the most impactful politician of the Fourth Republic – Adom-Otchere

Paul Adom-Otchere has described former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the most impactful politician of Ghana’s Fourth Republic, despite acknowledging that the former leader may have made some mistakes during his time in office.
The broadcast journalist and political commentator praised Akufo-Addo’s political legacy and the depth of his influence on Ghana’s democratic development.
“He may have made some mistakes, but after you look at it, I call him the most impactful politician of the Fourth Republic,” he said in a one-on-one interview on the AM Show.
He highlighted Akufo-Addo’s significant contributions to political mobilisation, media freedom, and parliamentary democracy.
“He was the politician who gave the biggest mobilisation, fought the most for press freedom, and defended parliamentary processes at critical moments in our democratic history,” Adom-Otchere stated.
The Good Evening Ghana host further pointed out that Akufo-Addo holds a political record that underscores his influence on Ghana’s electoral history.
“He still holds the record of having won the largest margin as an opposition candidate coming into the ballot,” he noted, stressing that such an achievement reflects the former president’s ability to connect with the Ghanaian electorate and lead with conviction.
