NDC GRACED NNA KWAKU DANKWA III YAM FESTIVAL AT KINTAMPO

Yesterday, 7th November, 2025, the National Chairman, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah together with the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi and Regional Chairman, Hon. Unas Owusu joined by Hon. MP, Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah and Hon. MCE, Hon. Isaac Donkor to Graced a Yam Festival (PEDIA) by the President of Mo Traditional Council Nnaa Kwaku Dankwa iii at the Kintampo Presby Park. Also present was the CEO of GRATIS Foundation, Hon. Dr. Isaac Adaebsa, the Techiman Mayor, Hon. Adjei Mensah, other dignitaries, the Constituency Chairman, Naa Kwaku Dassah and his executives.
Hon. Owusu Antwi in his address extends greetings to Nananom, highlighted about the recent development at Gulumpe which he acknowledged the intervention of the President, REGSEC, MUSEC and Nananom for addressing the issues timely.

Hon. Minister also informed about the current initiative (Gun Amnesty) of the Interior Minister which will be launched by 6 weeks time, purpose of the initiatives is to ensure all guns are licensed.
He further highlighted about President Mahama’s government Continuation of Kintampo – Prang road, Construction of University and Two Colleges of Education in Bono East, extension of FSHS to private schools as the opposition claimed the NDC will cancel FSHS, Bono East benefitted over 600 youth who are engaged in National Apprenticeship Program, eleven 24 hour markets which includes police station,fire station, 100 stores, 160 shelves, 3 cold stores and other.
Hon. Minister pleaded with Nananom to unite, not to engage in Galamsey rather consider agro processing or Business, herdsmen and farmers must use the appropriate quarters to address issues and ended by wishing Nananom happy Yam Festival.

The National Chairman, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, extends greetings from the Presidency to Nananom, and also shared a brief story about the struggle of Mo Chieftaincy as he thanks the Almighty that the Festival signifies peace and unity within DEGA/Mo.
Furthermore, he indicated President Mahama couldn’t attend because of a tight official duty as he urge DEGA to unite for development.
He also Kintampoman for voting massively for the NDC as President Mahama’s Government will also make sure to address the pressing issues within the Municipality as Nananom pleaded for Town roads, Suronuase – Busuama road, Kintampo – New Longor road and others.

Known for his sarcasm, Hon. Asiedu said the immediate past MCE can’t be named as Oyi Akwan (as alluded by the NPP Constituency Secretary) when most of the roads in Kintampo are in deplorable states as indicated by Nana Mo manhene in his speech. He assured Kintampoman that before the 2028 elections, the NDC will construct most of our roads.

Concluding his speech, he acknowledged the Hon. MP’s earlier donation of 200 bags of cement for the construction of Mo paramouncy palace, as he pledge Nna Kwaku Dankwa to initiate the construction as the NDC will support for it’s completion as he donated 20,000 on behalf of the party and Government as a seed capital for the construction of the palace.
