Calls by delegates for NPP to uphold the tradition of maintaining candidates is in the right direction—Bawumia

Former Vice President of Ghana and flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has taken note of the calls for him to be maintained as the party flagbearer.

He says he is appreciative of the fact that delegates of the party still believe that he is the most marketable candidate to represent the NPP in the 2028 elections.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who has been touring the Oti Region, believes that the calls are in the right direction as the party has continued to maintain candidates since 1996.

Making this known in a post shared via social media, he said “My tour of the Oti Region continued today in Nkwanta North and Nkwanta South.

I appreciate the massive calls by party stakeholders, for me to be retained as our 2028 Flagbearer, in line with our party’s remarkable tradition of consistently supporting and maintaining our Presidential Candidates since 1996.
